NOKAD is a biotech start up created in January 2004 by three experienced scientists with scientific, medical, pharmaceutical and business skills. The head office and the laboratory are located at Genopole® d'Evry (France). NOKAD developed a new technology that allows the inactivation of secreted proteins in vivo in 6 months, whatever the species required.
NOKAD is the first company in the world developing and marketing functional inactivation of endogenous proteins in mammals, through direct in vivo induction of a specific immune response against an endogenous target.
Using this proprietary approach NOKAD is able to generate functional Knock-Out of secreted proteins in different models and species. Receptor NOKAD models are currently under development in internal R&D programs and also in partnerships.
Our models are useful for both functional characterization and target validation in the most adapted animal model.
There is no need for permanent animal breeding or embryos freezing, since models are regenerated with only a unique vaccination procedure with a vector already validated.
Using the NOKAD technology allows you to increase cost-efficiency pressures and discovery performance, providing dedicated research and development tools to perform efficient research management and decision.
